Five major platforms accept Bitcoin payments. Here's where to look.

Humble Bundle took Bitcoin early on and offers the best option for bargain hunters. The platform lets shoppers split their payment between game developers, partner charities, and Humble Bundle itself. It runs constant promotions: weekly bundles, flash sales, mobile game collections, comic book offerings. The storefront undercuts Steam prices across its catalog. Humble Bundle's editorial standards set it apart from other bundle sites.

Groupees takes a different approach. The site hosts four to five running bundles with flexible pricing that shifts based on which games you choose. Some promotions work on a pay-what-you-want basis, with you naming the price; you then receive any bundled games that clear Steam's Greenlight selection. Groupees also bundles electronic music alongside games.

Green Man Gaming accepts Bitcoin. The platform stocks over 5,000 games from 350+ publishers. Its Early Access section gives indie Bitcoin users something rare: access to experimental games. Before Green Man Gaming's cryptocurrency support, Bitcoin users wanting Early Access titles had to buy Steam wallet codes.

Indie Game Stand began accepting Bitcoin through Stripe integration. The site sells DRM-free games in a bundle-store hybrid. Many games debut on Indie Game Stand before reaching Steam. The platform also offers subscriptions and daily bundle deals. Stripe hides the Bitcoin checkout under a "Credit Card" button. Once you land on the Stripe interface, the Bitcoin option appears.

Daily Indie Game runs pay-what-you-want collections with no minimum price. Several bundles run at any given time. It lacks the fame of Green Man Gaming or Humble Bundle but works well for people hunting deals. Bitcoin transactions can glitch; support staff resolve issues via email.

Several retailers should accept Bitcoin but haven't. BundleStars, IndieRoyale, IndieGala, and GOG.com remain offline for cryptocurrency. Pushing these platforms to add Bitcoin payments could change things.
