Manchester brings CoinFestUK back for another year this April, with MiningPool as its main media partner.
The conference started in 2013 when bitcoin advocate Andrew Wagner held the first gathering at a Waves Coffee House in Vancouver. That event drew 100 bitcoin enthusiasts. Since then, CoinFest has expanded across multiple countries. In 2016, CryptoBatesGroup brought the conference to Manchester, with Adam Rizvi managing the event. Over 200 people showed up to that first UK edition. Last year, the Manchester conference attracted participants from all over the world. The 2017 program included five workshops, 20 speakers, and 12 exhibitions. Organizers now want to build on that success.
CoinFestUK 2018 takes place April 5-7 at Manchester Conference Centre. Free workshops will teach attendees about Bitcoin basics, hardware wallet security, ethereum, and trading. Portsmouth Crypto, InspiringCoUK, ColmoreFX, Glynn Bird, and Blockchain Manchester will run the sessions.
The speaker roster includes Theo Goodman, the Crown Team, BitcoinRat, Matthew Rodbourne, William Hern, and Biyan Mienert. Organizers are adding more speakers to the schedule.
Conference exhibitors feature Mue, Ethbits, Crown, MyHardwareWallet, and BlockChainers, among others. More will be announced.
Attendees can participate in games, use a photo booth, and enter a raffle during the three days. The BitcoinRat and CryptoRaptor will entertain conference-goers. Organizers will unveil surprise activities once the event starts.
CoinFestUK is incorporating an art component inspired by last year's positive response to the CryptoArtGallery. The Lynx Art Collection will show limited-edition bitcoin-themed pieces available as prints and canvas works.
Supporting the event are Ethbits (headline sponsor), Monetaryunit, BitCore, Crown, MyHardwareWallet, BittyBot, XGOX, InspiringCo, MyBit.io, and CoinCorner. Media partners include OptionMag, BlockOnomi, BraveNewCoin, BTCManager, and EventChain.
Whether you're entering the cryptocurrency space for the first time or are an experienced trader, the conference offers programming for all experience levels. Attendees can reserve free tickets through the website. Buying a ticket puts you in the raffle. Event proceeds go to the We Love Manchester fund.
