At the forefront of automotive-blockchain convergence stands Curio Capital AG, a Swiss startup unveiling its vision for the sector's blockchain future. On September 25th, 2018, the company will host an exclusive gathering in Zug, the heart of Switzerland's cryptocurrency corridor.

Strategic partnerships with prominent luxury automotive specialists form the backbone of Curio's approach. These collaborations span globally recognized garages and dealerships, enabling the creation of Car Cards—non-fungible blockchain tokens each representing an individual vehicle stored within the partner network. These digital assets become collectible, tradeable, and transferable among participants, creating opportunities for financial gain through secondary market activity.

Curiocar.com serves as the entry platform, launching prior to the main DAICO token distribution. The marketplace will premiere with 900 available Car Cards through auction. Purchasers of these initial offerings receive guaranteed slots in the subsequent DAICO phases. For other prospective token buyers, allocation occurs via random lottery—Curio's mechanism for ensuring fair participation across its community. Those acquiring cards valued at 1,000 CHF or higher receive exclusive limited-edition poster rewards.

Fernando Verboonen, engineering lead and head of Curio's team, conveyed his optimism: "We are excited to be able to finally share our work with car enthusiasts and blockchain professionals from all around the world." He continued: "The automotive industry has yet to explore the many benefits of blockchain economics. Seeing as we are passionate for cars and blockchain technology, we aimed to fuse our interests with the goal of introducing a new era in automobile ownership and trade on a global scale. This is just the first stage of an exciting roadmap which will include many more products, which we plan on rolling out in the near future."

Verboonen brings substantial expertise across both domains. He established blockchain adoption strategies at a Swiss fintech firm specializing in premium vehicle investment portfolios. His early career centered on manufacturing: he served as a process engineer at Mercedes, leading SLK production initiatives in Germany's northern industrial zones. Subsequently, he evaluated strategic opportunities within software companies as part of a German corporate venture capital operation. Experience at several Swiss software enterprises, which subsequently achieved significant commercial exits, rounds out his background.

The event takes place at Crypto Valley Labs, located at Dammstrasse 16, Zug, from 5:00 PM through 8:00 PM.

The car card gaming and trading ecosystem will simultaneously activate, showcasing its full suite of 900 tokenized vehicles. Operations continue until the DAICO officially commences. At that juncture, Curio plans to release a comprehensive whitepaper outlining additional technical and commercial specifics.

Curio's web platform becomes accessible today, September 25th, 2018.
