Shorcan will target the appetite Canadian investors have shown for cryptocurrency exposure, offering them institutional access to trading. The venture speaks to a broader shift in how markets view cryptocurrencies, moving beyond pure speculation toward serious evaluation of their role in investment strategies.

TMX Group operates Canada's equities, fixed income, derivatives, and energy markets. The company runs the Toronto Stock Exchange along with the Montréal Exchange, NGX, and TSX Alpha Exchange. Paycase built a mobile platform for moving money across borders with security and speed. The company targets markets where infrastructure gaps restrict financial access, focusing on transfers between Canada and the Philippines. Paycase operates in a private, invitation-only beta.
