Humans.net opened its peer-to-peer freelancer marketplace this week. The company raised $10 million in a seed round and ran a US trial that attracted 200,000 users. The platform cuts middlemen by combining blockchain technology with AI. An immutable, reputation-based scoring system underpins the marketplace.

Humans.net built what it calls a DNA-based verification system on blockchain. Users prove their identity through digital fingerprints, verified references, and work that other members vouch for. Vlad Dobrynin, founder and CEO, described how the AI would function and the company's broader ambitions. "We are using advanced AI to drive the search process on the platform which will radically alter how we connect online with peers and businesses. People will get swift and accurate search results irrespective of geographical location," Dobrynin said. "It's a revolutionary online model which is set to radically alter how we interact online and how we trade skills and services."

The company frames the marketplace as a general hub where people convert skills into income and hire help for countless tasks. This puts it against existing social platforms, which harvest user data and charge for their services. Dobrynin described the decentralized approach. "By leveraging blockchains, power is given back to users ensuring no one can use their data without their permission," he said. "In today's world of data driven economies, this is a radical but far-reaching step."

Humans.net takes no fees or commissions. Users own their data and decide whether to share it for advertising. Those who opt in get 25% of the ad revenue. Every user receives a unique access key that controls what information gets released.

The trial showed demand across multiple categories. People sought help with household work, gardening, legal issues, tax preparation, business support, real estate, and training. The company plans to expand from this base.
