Ripple posted a 1.9% gain over the past seven days. Bitcoin added 0.92% in the past day, while Ethereum rose 1.32%. Binance's BNB climbed 7.84% over the week, though it gained just 0.28% in 24 hours.

Since January, XRP has moved up 28%. The token remains one of the top 10's worst performers for the year despite these recent gains.

Hackers stole $4.5 million in XRP from KuCoin this week. The exchange said it had identified the perpetrator. The theft should have minimal impact on the XRP market, given that $1.5 billion of the token trades each day.

Ripple announced a new tool this week that lets crypto companies source renewable energy. The company aims to become carbon neutral by 2030, and the tool supports this goal. Ripple commands an $11.21 billion market cap.
