Enjin and Aave both announced gaming partnerships on the same day. Enjin linked up with Skymarch Entertainment, a Canadian studio with over three decades of game development behind it. Team members have worked on titles at Ubisoft, Riot Games, and Electronic Arts. Three of Skymarch's upcoming games will integrate Ethereum-based NFTs: Zeal, a player-versus-player action RPG; Crystals of Fate, an esports-driven collectible card game across multiple platforms; and The Galaxy of Lemuria, a survival crafting MMORPG spanning several worlds. All three are in advanced development with free playable demos already available. The games will join the Enjin Multiverse, a network of more than 30 games that lets players carry the same items across different titles.

Skymarch CEO Jonathon McKay said: "We see blockchain technology at the forefront of what is to become mainstream in the future. Enjin's direction toward creating a more scalable, user-friendly blockchain ecosystem solidified our company's decision to join forces and empower our players with true ownership over their assets."

Aave moved into the gaming space with its own deal. The platform announced a partnership with Axie Infinity, a Pokemon-style game where players battle digital creatures and earn tokens. For the next month, anyone holding at least 0.65 AAVE tokens or staked AAVE can claim a limited-edition Axie-themed NFT. Aave is backing Season 13 of Axie Community Alpha as well, putting more than $4,000 in AAVE rewards on the line for players competing starting November 9.

Axie Infinity's team wrote: "We strongly believe that crossovers between Decentralized Finance and gaming create benefits for users not possible in the legacy financial and gaming systems."

Both partnerships create entry points for mainstream gamers into the broader crypto economy. They also signal new possibilities in gaming that neither traditional finance nor the game industry has previously explored.
